Getting Dressed

What was it like to be sewn into your underwear for the winter and have to wear five layers of clothing on top of that? The children in this book try on clothes, hats and shoes which their great grandparents might have worn.

They find out how clothes were made at the turn of the century and discover that getting dressed took much longer then! The book also includes background information, old photographs and a time line which shows important events and inventions.
